Job Title: Surgical Practice Administrator – Plastic Surgery (Aesthetic & Reconstructive)
Location: Blackrock Clinic, Dublin

About the Role
We are hiring a surgical administrator to join our busy plastic surgery practice at Blackrock Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity to support a leading plastic surgeon specialising in both aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. You’ll play a key role in managing the full patient journey—from initial consultation to post-op care—ensuring a seamless, professional, and compassionate experience in a fast paced dynamic and energetic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient bookings, consultation schedules, and surgical calendars
- Coordinating with hospital theatre teams and clinical staff as well as anaesthetic scheduling and clinic nursing staff.
- Prepare consent forms, surgical documentation, and pre-/post-op instructions
- Handle patient inquiries with discretion, professionalism, and empathy
- Liaise with insurance providers and assist with billing for both private and insured patients
- Maintain meticulous medical records, keep stock levels for skincare, injectables
- Keep clinical documentation to an exceptional standard
- Ensuring patients have a positive surgical experience throughout
- Ensure full compliance with GDPR and clinic protocols
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years experience in a medical administration or surgical coordinator role
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent IT skills adaptable to increasing IT demands, AI, social media etc
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical scheduling systems a plus
- Experience in plastic surgery, aesthetics, or hospital admin is a strong advantage but not necessary
- Knowledge of medical billing or Irish private health insurance processes is a plus
- Team player with an excellent commitment to ensuring a consistent flow through the patient journey
- Must be fluent in English with an Irish visa
