Job Title: Clinical Applications Specialist - Histology
Reports to: Sales Director
Qualifications / Experience
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent field required as minimum.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Histology/Immunohistology or similar required.
- Full clean drivers license.
- Experience of diagnostic instrumentation, software and applications is desirable.
- Proven ability to work remotely and independently, excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload in an effective manner.
- Strong organisation and planning skills required.
- Ability to work under pressure and show initiative.
Key Responsibilities
The principal duties and responsibilities of the Clinical Applications Specialist are to proactively support our customers in providing technical support within the parameters of Service Level Agreements and Service Contracts. Assist in the technical response to tenders and managed service agreements.
Project a positive image of Cruinn Diagnostics by interacting with customers, suppliers and colleagues in a professional, friendly and courteous manner at all times.
Duties
- Provide professional technical and applications support to customers.
- Manage all technical support calls received from customers, ensuring that all calls are logged on the technical support database and closed out to the satisfaction of the customers.
- Assist with validation on all new installations preparing and providing the relevant validation documentation to the customer.
- Work in conjunction with the Systems Engineering Department where necessary in trouble shooting customer issues.
- Provide customer training and demonstrations of designated products.
- Provide sales and support of other products related to Pathology as deemed appropriate by your manager.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Team in the promotion of designated products.
- Demonstration and participation in clinical sessions with Medical Laboratory Scientists and Pathologists etc.
- Handle customer enquiries in collaboration with the Sales and Engineering teams.
- Manage & log customer complaints as part of the Cruinn Quality Management Procedure.
- Attendance at local and international training, trade exhibitions and distributor meetings.
- Attendance at sales meetings and preparation of presentations, when required.
- Maintain weekly overview reports, actions lists and planners.
- Attendance at Application Specialist training events as required.
- Comply with MedTech Europe’s Code of Ethical Business Practice.
- Keep abreast of and assimilate your knowledge of new technologies and techniques.
- Ensure your company vehicle is regularly serviced and maintained and kept clean and tidy at all times. Please be aware of the dangers of leaving your mobile phone in the hands free cradle or your laptop computer etc. visible while your car is left unattended.
- Drive safely and within the rules of the road.
- Supply business and non-business mileage records to the accounts department on a monthly basis. This ensures that we in turn declare accurate details of your company vehicle to the Revenue Commissioners for the purpose of deduction of Benefit in Kind.
- Other adhoc duties.
