Overview

The post of CNM 1 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are: quality assurance, people management, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership.

Essential Criteria

Professional Qualifications & Experience

 Professional Qualifications & Expereince

• Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.

And

• Have at least 3 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in the speciality area or related area of practice

And

• Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.

And

• Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level

And

• Having a Post Graduate Course in orthopaedic or urology Care Nursing or equivalent is desirable
