Here at Berns Brett Ireland (part of the Jensten Group), we are looking to recruit a Commercial Insurance Advisor, to join our friendly and client focused team of 7 people.
Berns Brett Ireland is a commercial Insurance Broker based in Cavan, Ireland. We have 35+ years insurance experience and provide quality independent advice on all aspects of corporate and personal insurance, risk management and business continuity.
The main purpose of the Commercial Insurance Advisor role is to service our Commercial policies and provide top quality client servicing. While you have a strong focus on policy renewals, you will also be involved in other servicing tasks and setting up new business.
We are pleased to be able to consider both experienced and non-experienced applicants for this role.
Key objectives & responsibilities:
- Advising customers on a range of Commercial insurance
- Building long-term relationships with colleagues, clients and insurers
- Developing customer relationships, understanding their insurance needs and providing a high level of customer service
- Completing policy renewals and making amendments and answering a range of queries
- Setting up new business
- Processing insurance documents ensuring to be compliant with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. Central Bank of Ireland
About you
As a Commercial Insurance Advisor you will need to have strong customer service skills, the ability to multi-task and good time management skills. You do not need insurance experience as training will be provided, but any insurance experience will be a bonus!
Other skills/requirements:
- Be educated to a minimum of Certificate / Diploma / Degree level at third level college
- A desire to work towards CII Qualifications (essential)
- A good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- A sincere interest in developing a career within the insurance/broking sector
- An excellent telephone manner with the ability to build relationships easily
- The ability to use your initiative and multi-task
- Work experience in a professional Office environment (advantageous but not essential)
