Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our culinary team at our vibrant four-star property, located in the heart of the city.
You will report to the Head Chef and Sous Chef and work closely with the wider kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to ensure the consistent preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes for our guests. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of breakfast and other meals as required, maintaining the hotel’s high culinary standards.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs to support the smooth running of the kitchen.
- Ensure that all food is prepared to specification and presented consistently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your work area in accordance with hygiene and food safety standards.
- Support with stock rotation and reporting of any shortages or issues to senior chefs.
- Participate in cleaning duties as part of the kitchen team to ensure compliance with HACCP and hotel standards.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries correctly.
- Follow all Health & Safety, Fire, and Hygiene regulations.
- Be proactive in learning and developing culinary skills through daily tasks and training opportunities.

Maintain a positive and professional attitude with colleagues and other departments.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary setting is desirable but not essential – training will be provided.
- A strong interest in food preparation and a desire to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP certification is a plus).
