Due to our continued expansion, OCC are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Contracts Manager to join our senior leadership team, playing a pivotal role in driving performance across multiple projects in the western region. Key responsibilities
- Take full ownership of projects, leading strategic planning and execution to ensure successful completion and commercial performance.
- Lead and inspire teams with a proactive approach, fostering accountability, identifying risks, and maintaining continuous workflow.
- Oversee all aspects of planning, organisation, and resource management, ensuring seamless coordination of workforce, subcontractors, and materials.
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships, setting and exceeding expectations while maintaining commercial and contractual alignment.
- Consistently achieve excellence in timelines, cost management, and quality while driving continuous improvement and lean efficiencies.
- Champion Health & Safety, and Quality, embedding best practices across all projects and setting industry-leading standards.
- Implement the Last Planner System, enhancing workflow reliability and collaboration across all project teams.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, applying strategic solutions to safeguard progress and project success.
- Lead by example, driving OCC’s core values—Innovation, Sustainability, Accountability, and Quality at every level of the business.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry, overseeing large-scale projects.
- A proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities while maintaining the highest standards.
- Hold a degree or master’s qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality and Safety management systems, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and build high-performing teams.
- A strategic mindset, with experience in business development and contributing to company growth.
- Highly results-driven, excelling in deadline management, problem-solving, and risk mitigation.
- Strong expertise in Health & Safety regulations within Irish construction, ensuring best practices at all times.
