Automation engineer

The Role
To provide technical support for the implementation of control systems.
Develop/modify FDS (Functional Design Documentation), SDS (Software Design Documentation) and the full suite of automation engineering documentation.
Develop process engineering software based on the Siemens and Allen-Bradley suite of control software.
Develop SCADA applications on both HMI packages and DCS control systems.
Work with the end user on software Factory Acceptance Testing and be involved in field I/O verification with Instrumentation Technicians and Electricians.
Set up industrial networks such as Profinet, Profibus DP, Industrial Ethernet, Asi, Profibus PA. Commission process control software.
Experience Required
Relevant experience in a utility or industrial environment with a background in integration and testing of control systems and industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Engineering background with minimum of 2 years’ automation experience. An ability to work independently and you must have excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
Experience in maintaining Industrial Control Networks and communications. Experience supporting DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, BMS and PC controlled systems in an industrial environment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronic engineering, Process Engineering, or related Manufacturing Engineering.
Full clean driving licence.
