We are seeking a detail-oriented Cabler to install, maintain, and repair structured cabling systems. The role involves working with Cat6, Cat6a cable, fiber optic cables to ensure reliable connectivity for commercial and industrial, environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling systems.
- Route and secure cables through ceilings, walls, conduits, and floors.
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical drawings.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs of cabling faults.
- Label and document cable pathways, connections, and test results.
- Use tools such as punch-down tools, crimpers, fusion splicers, and cable testers.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in structured cabling installation and maintenance. (not essential as training will be provided)
- Familiarity with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license (if required for travel).
Work Environment:
- Job sites may include offices, industrial facilities, data centers, or residential buildings.
- May require travel, overtime, or weekend shifts depending on project needs.
