Daybreak Delvin are currently looking for Full and Part time staff members to join our team, both Deli and Sales assistants positions available. Monday to Friday hours-no weekend work. Starting August and September 2025.
Opportunities are also available to suitable candidates who are interested in sponsorship on the Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision or Batchelor of Business in Retail Management Practice QQI Level 7-Part Time programs.
Shifts available:
- Monday to Friday-NO WEEKEND WORK.
Although we always aim to provide fixed working days & hours some flexibility in availability is occasionally required.
The ideal Deli candidate will have:
- Experience in a role with strong exposure to fresh food-DELI, FOOD PREP, BAKERY.
- Experience in meeting the HACCP and food safety requirements.
- Experience managing waste within a fresh food department;
- Excellent communication skills;
- The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi task under pressure.
Deli Duties/Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, cook and display hot and cold food for customer consumption to the highest standard
- Ensure that the counter displays across all deli departments are to the highest standards at all times throughout the day
- Prepare the presentation and layout of the deli serve over;
- Ensure Deli area and equipment is maintained to the required level of Hygiene ensuring cleaning is carried out as per Food Hygiene Policy
- Any other duties that may be assigned to you by the Assistant Store Manager/Store Manager
Sales Assistants Duties/Responsibilities include:
- Day to day operations of the tills
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times.
- Keeping the shop clean and presentable
- Stocking, tidying and cleaning shelves
- Implement correct labelling and stock rotation procedures
- Ensure deliveries are checked off in line with goods inwards procedures
- Other duties as allocated by manager
