We are currently recruiting for a Deli Assistant for our busy Centra store in Ardfert, Kerry on 31-36 hr/wk contract.
Candidates must be fully flexible and available to work from Sun - Sat inclusive, including weekends and bank holidays. Therefore, this position is not suitable for students.
Experience in a similar role a distinct advantage but is not a necessity as full training will be provided.
Job Role:
- Prepare, cook and display foods across our busy fresh food counters.
- Cook and merchandise products in bakery department, maintaining a strong offering throughout the day.
- Prepare customer orders across all counters in the deli department, offering customers excellent product knowledge and friendly, efficient service.
- Working as part of the deli team to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- While this will be a deli assistant position, training in all areas of the shop will be included and the successful candidate may be required to work shifts in other departments, depending on the needs of the store.
Ideal Candidate:
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Excellent personal presentation standards
- Fluent in English both verbally and written
- Previous experience in fresh food or customer-facing role
- HACCP training is desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to work hours as determined by the business; this is a full-time position and shifts will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Salary from €13.50 p/h DOE
