Requirements:
· We would prefer at least one year of experience in the hospitality or a busy deli in retail.
· Proven ability to engage and connect with customers.
· Excellent communication skills.
· A team player with a positive attitude towards work and employee engagement.
· Good knowledge and experience of either Barista/ Deli operations or waiting on customers.
· Proactive with an ability to problems solving and strive for continuous improvement.
· Barista qualification and or Deli experience is a must for these positions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·Greet customers as they enter
·Educate customers on drink and food menus
·Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
·Prepare beverages and food items following standard recipes
·Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
·Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
·Keep the barista and deli area clean
·Maintain stock of crockery and cutlery
·Check brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
·Comply with health and safety regulations
·Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
