Role Overview
As a Delivery/Stores Person, you will be responsible for the efficient and organised operation of the company’s store and warehouse, ensuring accurate stock control and supporting inventory and purchasing processes. You will also be responsible for the safe transport and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to and from sites using a company van. This role is key in supporting engineering projects by ensuring all materials are stored securely, are readily available, and delivered on time when needed.
The role will be based in Dublin and will require travel during working hours in a company van.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all materials, tools, and equipment.
- Track the movement of stock, including receiving deliveries, organising inventory, and recording stock levels.
- Track plant and track calibration dates on equipment
- Perform regular stock counts and audits, investigating and reconciling discrepancies as needed.
- Liaise with the procurement team to monitor stock levels and place replenishment orders.
- Support in raising purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers on delivery schedules.
- Carry out goods-in procedures, ensuring delivered items match purchase orders and specifications.
- Oversee proper storage of materials and equipment for easy accessibility and safe handling.
- Implement best practices for storing hazardous or specialised materials in line with company and legal guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in the warehouse.
- Drive the company van to transport materials, tools, and equipment between sites and suppliers as required.
- Ensure that all transported goods are securely loaded and delivered in good condition.
- Regularly check and maintain warehouse safety equipment such as PPE and fire extinguishers.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the warehouse and while operating the company vehicle.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site staff to ensure timely availability and delivery of materials.
- Act as a point of contact for stores-related queries and communicate with suppliers to resolve stock or delivery issues.
Essential Requirements
- Full, clean driver’s license with experience driving a van or similar vehicle.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Proficient in using stock management software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse and while transporting goods.
- Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role, preferably within an engineering or construction environment.
- Familiarity with stock control and inventory management systems.
- Experience with procurement processes is an advantage.
