Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:
1. Front Desk Management
- Greeting patients warmly as they arrive
- Managing the check-in and check-out process
- Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries in a professional manner
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
2. Patient Communication & Support
- Explaining dental procedures, payment options, and office policies
- Collecting and updating patient information and medical histories
- Assisting nervous or anxious patients by creating a welcoming environment
3. Appointment & Calendar Management
- Booking appointments efficiently to maximize productivity
- Managing cancellations, rescheduling, and recall systems
- Coordinating with dental staff to avoid scheduling conflicts
4. Administrative Duties
- Handling patient records with confidentiality and accuracy
- Filing, scanning, and maintaining proper documentation
- Sending appointment reminders (texts, calls, or emails)
5. Financial & Insurance Tasks
- Processing payments, issuing receipts, and handling billing inquiries
- Verifying details and processing PRSI claims
- Following up on outstanding accounts or balances
6. Office Coordination
- Ensuring the reception area is tidy, welcoming, and stocked with supplies
- Communicating effectively with dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists
- Assisting with inventory or ordering office supplies when needed
7. Compliance & Confidentiality
- Adhering to privacy regulations
- Maintaining professionalism and patient confidentiality at all times

- Experience in a similar role is preferred but full training will be provided.
Remuneration will be based on relevant qualification and experience.
