We are now seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join our Jaguar Land Rover team in Bishopstown.
Job Summary: We are on the lookout for a high-calibre Diagnostic Technician who thrives on complex technical work, cutting-edge vehicle technology, and premium automotive brands. This role is ideal for someone already skilled in diagnostics and seeking to deepen expertise in electric vehicles and future technologies, with a pathway to Master Technician status.
Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Advanced Diagnostics: Accurately diagnose faults on sophisticated vehicle systems, using the latest diagnostic tools and manufacturer technology.
- Precision Repairs: Carry out complex repairs, electrical troubleshooting, software updates, and calibrations to the highest standards.
- Efficiency: Achieve and exceed productivity targets while minimising downtime for our customers.
- Quality Documentation: Complete all paperwork and warranty claims accurately and in line with manufacturer and dealership requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the workshop and service teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Workshop Standards: Maintain an organised, safe, and clean working environment, caring for specialist tools and equipment.
- Parts Liaison: Coordinate effectively with the Parts Department to minimise delays.
- Vehicle Health Checks: Conduct thorough inspections and highlight any additional work required to keep vehicles in top condition.
- Customer Communication: Update Service Advisors promptly if additional work is needed or timelines change, ensuring transparency for our customers.
- Warranty Compliance: Handle and tag warranty parts correctly, safeguarding customer and brand interests.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Qualified Technician: Fully qualified Motor Vehicle Technician with strong experience in diagnostics, electronics, and complex repairs.
- Problem Solver: Logical thinker with a methodical approach to fault finding.
- Tech-Focused: Passionate about staying up to date with evolving automotive technology, particularly hybrid and electric.
- Team Player: Flexible, organised, and able to work well with colleagues and customers.
- High Standards: Committed to exceptional quality, safety, and customer care.
- Driver’s License: Full clean driver’s license required.
- Communication: Fluent English.
- Franchise experience with Jaguar Land Rover or other premium brands is an advantage but not essential.
