Meet the team

RTÉ’s commercial division incorporates TV, Digital, Radio, Print and Creative Services. The RTÉ Partnerships Team has established itself in the marketplace as an innovative and trusted media team. Delivering award winning work for clients in areas including Brand Activation, Branded Content, and Creative/Commercial Production. In our ongoing commitment to provide innovative solutions for our commercial partners, we are seeking an experienced Digital Partnerships Manager to contribute to the future digital growth of RTÉ.

This role sits within the Partnerships Team, with close collaboration with digital teams and the wider RTÉ Media Sales team.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, you will collaborate closely with digital teams to identify and activate innovate digital opportunities to drive commercial revenue. You will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth and development of digital partnerships and driving digital opportunities across RTÉ’s portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working across media partnerships across the full suite of RTÉ products. This role will have a particular focus on developing and managing digital opportunities within the sports category.

Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for driving digital opportunities across RTÉ platforms with commercial partners
  • Collaborate with Digital, Editorial and Marketing teams to identify and implement digital initiatives to expand our digital partnership portfolio
  • Responsibility for driving responses to briefs received from advertising agencies, working with internal stakeholders to deliver solutions that work
  • A key part of the role will be cultivating relationships with internal and external partners to bring campaign concepts to life. This will involve collaboration between internal sales teams, editorial and programming, digital, production and technical teams
  • Responsible for partnership revenues - managing a sales pipeline, identifying and quantifying new prospects and converting and growing new business opportunities
  • Implementing and managing digital campaigns
  • Development of new digital audio and digital video products across key content verticals, e.g. Drama, Sport, Business etc
  • Supporting the Partnerships and wider RTÉ Media Sales team on commercial activity
About you:
  • Strong digital experience – either in agency or selling digital advertising and/or content solutions
  • Experience in delivering high-value digital campaigns
  • Proven track record in developing campaigns and overseeing concepts from inception through to execution and post campaign review.
  • Experience working in sports media, specifically on sports campaigns
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Confident and articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • You should be experienced in problem-solving under pressure
  • Experience in managing revenue pipelines and forecasts
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
  • A deep understanding of all media platforms
  • Thorough understanding of commercial creativity, branded content and cross-platform media solutions

This appointment will be offered on an ongoing, full-time basis at the Manager Grade 3 scale. The salary scale is from €49,542 to €83,134 gross per annum.
