We are seeking a Driver and Depot Operator to join our team based at our trade depot in Oranmore in Galway on a part time basis – 3 days per week usually Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
The successful candidate will prepare, load and deliver our products to our customers at various locations throughout Galway and surrounding area, and will support the smooth and efficient operation of the Galway Depot, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times.
Customer Service & Deliveries
The Driver/Depot Operator will be dealing face-to-face with Freefoam customers and as such must represent Freefoam in a professional manner. This will involve some of the following activities:
- Van deliveries (category B Licence only required) to the depot customers at various locations throughout Galway and surrounding areas.
- Dealing with Freefoam customers in person
- Aiding and assisting customers in other respects where necessary i.e. assisting in loading customer vehicles etc.
Depot Duties
When not delivering, the Depot Operatives main functions are to assist in the day to day running of the Galway depot. This will involve the following:
- Organising and maintaining the warehouse area
- Pulling and labelling customer orders
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards
- Completing documentation and maintaining documentation as required
- Being involved in the receiving, checking and storage of incoming goods
- Performing Stock counts as required
- Opening and closing warehouse if required
- Working as part of a team with other Freefoam staff
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Some relevant work experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to deal with Customers
- A full clean driving licence (category B)
- Computer literacy
- Eligibility to live and work in the EU
- and will be a patient, confident and enthusiastic individual with a “can do” attitude
