About the Role
Reporting to the Learning & Talent Manager – Ireland, this role is all about delivering BAM’s Early Careers Programme. You will play a key part in making sure our early careers team members have a consistent, high-quality experience that helps them grow into the future leaders and professionals of BAM UK&I. From recruitment and onboarding to development and retention, you will help shape a programme that supports our long-term talent needs and ensures our early careers talent is set up for success.
The role is based in Kill, Co. Kildare, with some travel to various locations across Ireland during the academic year. We offer hybrid & flexible working
Key Objectives:
- Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of BAM’s Early Careers Programmes.
- Collaborate with key business stakeholders to align roles with talent needs.
- Ensure development frameworks are structured, inclusive, and impactful.
- Provide clear development pathways and support mechanisms for Early Careers Colleagues.
- Promote BAM’s Early Careers programmes externally, continuing to build partnerships with universities and industry bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Delivery:
Deliver the operational aspects of the Early Careers programmes across BAM Ireland, ensuring alignment with workforce planning and business priorities. Oversee recruitment to attract diverse, high-quality candidates, and design engaging induction, development modules, rotations, and progression pathways.Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong relationships with universities, industry bodies, and professional institutions. Support learners and line managers through coaching and mentoring, act as the point of contact for all programme stakeholders, and represent BAM at events to promote our employer brand.Governance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards. Monitor KPIs, retention, and progression data, track individual development plans, and oversee contracts with external providers.Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate programme impact using feedback and data. Drive innovation by adopting best practices and leveraging technology to enhance the learner experience.
Who are we looking for?
Essential Experience
- 3 + years proven experience coordinating graduate or early careers programmes.
- Strong experience working with Apprentice providers, Solas & government agencies
- Strong knowledge of graduate recruitment, development, and talent management strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, working with universities, managers, and industry bodies.
- Strong organisational & communication skills with impeccable attention to detail.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within the construction, infrastructure, or engineering sectors.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and graduate development technologies.
- Knowledge of diversity, equality, and inclusion practices in early careers recruitment.
- Accreditation or qualifications in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or HR.
- Experience managing accredited development programmes linked to professional institutions
