Experienced Optical Assistant

In order to apply for this position you must have at least 1 year of optical experience.

We are located in Carlow town, in order to apply candidates must be able to commute to Carlow.

Key elements of this role include but are not limited to;

• Reception duties / booking appointments.
• General administration.
• Sales and merchandising.
• Working to a consistently high standard of customer service.
• Exploring customer needs thoroughly and approaching customers to offer assistance.
• Assisting customers with frame selection.
• Thorough knowledge of products and treatments.
• Repair and glazing of spectacles.

Skills and experience

• Previous sales and merchandising experience.
• Excellent communicator with fluent English.
• Professional, confident, enthusiastic and friendly.
• Self starter who uses their own initiative.
• Proficient PC skills.
• Good numeric ability.
• Previous optical experience a requirement.
• Salary dependent on experience

• Mon-Fri 9.30am - 5.30pm
• No Saturdays
• No late evenings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to €28,000.00 per year
