We’re hiring a Manufacturing Manager to lead our production operations and drive quality, efficiency, and delivery across all jobs.
The Role
You’ll run day-to-day fabrication, manage 20–30 staff, and work closely with the Operations Manager. You’ll be responsible for planning, execution, quality, and ensuring EN1090 compliance across all outputs.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the production programme and daily rota
- Oversee fabrication progress and maintain floor-level visibility
- Coordinate materials and prep site requirements (bolts, fixings, access gear)
- Ensure correct storage, packaging, and movement of raw and finished goods
- Conduct quality checks and enforce EN1090 compliance
- Review and file blue sheets and fabrication drawings
- Support design handovers and finalise job packages
- Communicate with site teams and resolve production issues as they arise
- Maintain basic staff welfare facilities
- Drive process improvements through LEAN practices
- Report regularly to management on progress and performance
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years in a manufacturing role (steel fabrication preferred)
- Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong understanding of MRP systems and job planning
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings confidently
- Practical leadership and clear communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and Google Workspace tools
