The Shower Man is a small family-owned business that have been trading for over 30 years. We are the warranty agents for a variety of leading shower and pump manufacturers and would like to recruit a new Field Service Engineer to the team.
The ideal candidate will have background in plumbing and electrical with a working knowledge of all these aspects – plumbing is essential. Full training to be provided to enhance and improve any development areas.
Must have a clean driver’s license, good customer manner and ability to work as part of a team or independently, willing to use their own initiative as well as decision making skills.
Problem solving and fault-finding with a can-do attitude is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a complete level of service to your customers on-site to include, fault-finding, servicing, maintaining, repairing or replacing units when needed.
- Ensure that all equipment and products are left in a safe manner for customers to use. Extra care to be taken of customer’s property at the time of the call-out.
- Maintain all records electronically and appropriate paperwork regarding client installations and work carried out. Create Service Reports for customer signature and complete all Company required paperwork on site at time of the call-out.
- Ensure the Company vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good condition at all times. Promptly report any issues, damage or maintenance needs.
- Carry and maintain an up-to-date stock of spare parts and consumables in the Company vehicle and maintain this stock and equipment in good order.
- Proactively work with the office team, communicating customer feedback and additional customer requirements.
- Attend training courses when required. Ongoing training will be a requirement as new products enter the market.
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours in order to cope with urgent situations and an unexpected workload as well as a willingness to undertake the additional duties, which may be required from time to time by the Company to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Service Department.
- This role is a field service role that requires the Field Service Engineer to work unsupervised on customer sites primarily in Donegal and surrounding counties.
