Overview of Role
The successful candidate will contribute towards the smooth running of an efficient Finance function, delivering best-in-class reporting and streamline processes. This role will provide 'real time' support and analysis, requirement to be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist in decision making.
In this role, you will act as a guide to your stakeholders, collaborating on commercial steering and evaluation of business opportunities. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting of monthly results, ensuring they reflect the current performance of the business and driving initiatives as required. You will need to be adept at stakeholder management and comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment. You will play key role in shaping future strategies as our business continues to grow.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts for assigned Business Units
- Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger for your business units and the delivery of high quality financial and management reporting
- Responsible for journal reviews and balance sheet recs monthly
- Collaboration with business managers and P&L owners, including commercial steering and evaluation of business opportunities
- Reviews of current processes and drive improvements and efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting standards
- Developing, maintaining, and improving the Group's financial processes and systems of internal control
- Month end and year end close process This role will include collaboration in reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business modelling
Education, Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) with 2+ years PQE
- Experience of month end close, functional reporting and preparation of statutory accounts.
- Positive attitude: 'can do' approach and willing to "roll up sleeves" as required.
- Be able to demonstrate a proven ability of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Strong commercial focus and ability to analyse different business scenarios.
- Fluent English
- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft Office suite essential
- Microsoft Navision advantageous
- Knowledge of Financial Modelling and Power BI would be an advantage
