The Role:
Ballymaloe House Hotel is currently seeking a dedicated and environmentally minded full-time Groundskeeper to join our team. Our gardens and surrounding landscape are central to the Ballymaloe experience, reflecting our commitment to sustainability, biodiversity and natural beauty.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Garden and Maintenance Teams to care for the outdoor areas, lawns and swimming pool, using eco-friendly methods. You will play a key role in maintaining the grounds for both guests and wildlife to enjoy.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining grounds, including lawns, gardens, trees, shrubbery and other outdoor areas.
- Operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment including leaf blowers and lawnmowers.
- Maintaining all hotel roadside entrances and pathways/ walkways.
- Assisting with pool maintenance.
- Cleaning and maintaining outdoor furniture.
- Disposing correctly of any rubbish.
- Practise environmentally sustainable landscaping techniques.
- Attend training when required and adhere to all Health & Safety procedures.
This is a full-time role and weekend work will be required.
