The Mercantile Hotel, located in the heart of Dublin City, has recently opened its doors this year, and we’re currently seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and friendly Receptionist to join our Front Office Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something from the very beginning; helping to shape the guest experience, tone, and atmosphere of one of the city’s most anticipated new hotels.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing a warm, genuine, and efficient welcome to all guests from the moment they arrive.
- Managing check-in and check-out processes accurately and efficiently.
- Handling guest enquiries, bookings, and requests in person, by phone, and by email.
- Liaising with all hotel departments to ensure smooth and seamless service.
- Maintaining the reception area to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records in line with hotel procedures.
- Supporting the Front Office Manager in day-to-day administrative duties.
- Acting as a key point of contact for guests during their stay, ensuring a memorable and positive experience.
- Upholding health, safety, and security procedures at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar receptionist or front office role, ideally in a hotel environment.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, professional manner with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Proficiency in hotel booking systems
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
