General Manager Master Chefs University of Galway
Master Chefs are currently recruiting a General Manager for our well established contact in University of Galway.
You will be responsible for day to day operation of a multi site business as well as conferencing & events.
Ideal candidate will have a strong background in banqueting, catering for large numbers to a 5* standard.
We are seeking to recruit a candidate that can expand into a group role within 2 years, still based in Galway.

Job Description in Brief:
1. Manage the day to day food & beverage business of 5 outlets as well as hospitality.
2. Lead an experienced catering team of managers & staff.
3. Liaise with corporate head office on a daily basis in areas such as HR, Finance, Sales & business development.
4. Liaise with Head Chef on menu planning, menu tastings, new initiatives, food promotions.
5. Liaise with UG conference office on upcoming events, plan menus & prices to develop business.
6. Recruit, train, manage & roster staff.
7. To ensure health and safety regulations are strictly observed.
8. Liaise with Finance Director on setting & achieving financial targets.
9. Ensure SOP's for product & service are observed.
10. Ensure daily cleaning schedules are maintained.
11. To keep financial and administrative records.
12. Manage payroll budget & targets on a daily basis.
13. Maintain stocks & supplies
14. Negotiate prices with customers, assess their requirements and ensuring they are satisfied with the service delivered
15. Ensure compliance with all fire regulations.
16. Plan new promotions and initiatives and contribute to new business development

Candidates must have a proven track record in the similar role.

3. Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices
4. Communication and leadership skills
5. Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
6. Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
7. Working knowledge of various computer software programs
