About Escape Limerick
Escape Limerick is a real-life Escape Room experience based in the heart of Limerick’s Medieval Quarter. We offer immersive, puzzle-based adventures where teams must work together to escape themed rooms within a set time. Our mission is to deliver memorable, high-quality entertainment, and our rooms are popular with groups of all types including corporates, hens/stags, friends, couples, tourists and locals alike.
Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive, hands-on General Manager to oversee the daily operations of Escape Limerick. This is a key leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment and is passionate about delivering top-notch experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Operations
- Respond promptly to customer queries via phone, email, and social media.
- Welcome guests, give pre-game briefings, and run escape room games to ensure a fun and smooth experience.
- Handle booking systems, walk-ins, and customer follow-ups.
- Maintain a strong presence during opening hours and ensure high standards of customer service at all times.
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, supervise and support a team of part-time staff.
- Prepare and manage staff rotas based on bookings and business needs.
- Run regular staff check-ins and performance reviews.
- Process payroll and monitor staff hours.
Site Management
- Open and close the premises responsibly.
- Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Carry out minor repairs and upkeep of props and rooms; coordinate with external contractors when needed.
- Restock supplies and ensure rooms are reset and operational between games.
Administration & Reporting
- Oversee financial transactions and petty cash.
- Maintain inventory and order stock as required.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports on bookings, customer feedback, staffing and maintenance.
- Collaborate with owner on business development, marketing ideas, and special events.
Sales & Marketing
- Take the lead on telling our story - through our social media content, and by creating exciting partnerships and packages with other local businesses.
- Manage and grow the business’s digital presence, including website and social media, ensuring consistent branding and engagement with target audiences.
Requirements
Essential
- Prior experience in hospitality, customer service, or entertainment management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable using booking software, email platforms, and spreadsheets.
- Hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in all aspects of the business.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Desirable
- Interest in puzzles, games or immersive experiences.
- First aid training cert (can be arranged if not in place).
- Basic handyman or DIY skills.
Working Hours
This is a full-time role and includes weekday, evening, weekend and occasional holiday work, based on booking demand. Flexibility is essential.
