General Operative - VC Galway (Permanent Full Time) Day Shift (Forklifter)
BWG Foods are currently recruiting for the position of General Operative on a Permanent Full-Time basis in Value Centre, Galway.
BWG Foods owns and operates the SPAR, EUROSPAR, MACE, Londis and XL brands in the Republic of Ireland, working in partnership with independent retailers with more than 1,000 stores serving local communities right across the country. The stores serve in excess of one million shoppers every single day.
The wholesale division of BWG Foods also includes BWG Foodservice, Corrib Food Products and Williams Gate, as well as Value Centre and 4 Aces, our nationwide network of Cash and Carry branches.
Duties of a General Operative include:
Stock replenishment & merchandising point of sale.
Loading/unloading pallets in an industrial racking system.
Order assembly.
Stock taking.
Dealing with customer queries in a professional manner.
Co-operation and participation in all health & safety, and security requirements.
House-keeping duties.
Other associated duties as requested by your manager.
Requirements
The suitable General Operative should:
· Have Reach forklift experience and an up-to-date operator’s certificate.
· Be customer focused, motivated, and enthusiastic.
Be reliable and flexible.
Have a can-do attitude.
Have a strong attention to detail.
Work well in a team environment and be able to work on your own initiative.
Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse.
Have good written and spoken English.
Must be able to work in ambient, chill and freezer areas of the warehouse.
This role involves manual handling e.g. lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving of products and loads.
