We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled General Operative to join our team in Galway. This role involves working on the installation, repair, and maintenance of septic tank systems, grease traps, and drainage solutions for both domestic and commercial customers.
Responsibilities:
Carry out groundworks and installations of septic tank systems and grease traps
Perform repairs and maintenance on drainage systems
Operate as part of a team or independently to complete daily site tasks
Support general operative duties across various projects
Represent the company in a professional and customer-focused manner
Maintain accurate daily records of work completed and hours logged
Be open to learning and developing new skills across the business
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Site Technician / General Operative in wastewater treatment systems is essential
Site experience working with confined spaces, excavations, and drainage
Strong safety awareness is critical
Full driving licence required (truck licence an advantage)
Ability to operate machine plant equipment
Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates (essential)
Confined space certification (advantageous but not required)
Electrical knowledge is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be Galway-based or willing to relocate
