General Practice Nurse Required in Dun Laoghaire
Looking for an experienced General Practice Nurse to join our friendly team in the heart of Dun Laoghaire located minutes from the sea, park and shops
Looking to start as soon as possible - working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Permanent Position - ideally working up to 6 sessions per week with another nurse in the practice and four full time GP’s, however there is scope for more hours; Fantastic support staff.
Salary Range: €25 - €30 per hour depending on experience
Position Requirements:
· Must be a Registered General Nurse with the An Bord Altranais / NMBI
· Experience in Phlebotomy
· Ideally 2 years of post-graduate experience
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational, and telephone skills
· Computer competent - Socrates software used in practice
· Fluent written and spoken English
· Flexible attitude to changing work practices
Roles & Responsibilities include:
· Immunisation - Administering Infant, childhood, flu, and other vaccinations
· Chronic Disease Management -ECG, phlebotomy, lifestyle and dietary advice as per CDM Programme, Blood pressure monitoring
· Female Health - Cervical Screening, Family Planning. AnteNatal
· Skin/Wound Care - Assessment and treatment of skin lacerations, Removal of sutures
· General Nursing Duties - Health promotion and education, Telephone triage and advice, Phlebotomy, Administering prescribed long-term medications/injections
