GIS Fibre Network Engineer #SECTO2
Role Overview: The Fibre Network Engineer will help to oversee the end-to-end design, survey and build phases of fibre installations within the FTTH project in the greater Dublin Area.
Preferred candidates will have experience overlaying fibre network components (PUP, DAJ, DP) on existing copper infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Engineering, Telecommunications is preferred but not essential.
- Extensive experience in network design utilising ArcGIS.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an interface with the Secto Project Team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project requirements and objectives.
- Support the design process from conceptualization to final approval, ensuring all project requirements are met and align with the client’s expectations.
- Support the design project in a proactive safety culture, actively promoting safety in all project phases.
- Manage design change control in collaboration with the internal team to adapt to project shifts efficiently.
- Ensure that the design development aligns with procurement (BOM/BOQ) and construction schedules and methodologies.
- Support the exercises to monitor and manage design and project costs, liaising with senior management to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, to manage project data and reporting.
