Job Role
As the Warranty Manager for the Harris Group, you will lead the end-to-end warranty process across all brands, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and exceptional service delivery. You will play a key strategic role in optimizing warranty operations, leading a team, engaging with key stakeholders, and delivering insight-driven improvements across the warranty function.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
This role is expected to evolve as the business grows. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the Warranty Control function, ensuring consistent and compliant processing of all warranty claims across the Dealer Network and to respective OEMs.
- Own the warranty strategy, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with manufacturer standards and internal performance goals.
- Supervise and support team members and dealers on complex or high-value warranty claims, policy decisions, and goodwill requests.
- Monitor and analyse key warranty KPIs, trends, and root causes. Present actionable insights and reports to senior leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical, Quality, Parts, and Aftersales teams to identify recurring issues and reduce warranty costs through proactive measures.
- Drive continuous improvement in warranty processes, claim turnaround times, and customer/dealer satisfaction.
- Manage relationships with OEM partners, ensuring open and transparent communication on all warranty-related matters.
- Deliver training and guidance to the dealer network on warranty systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Support audits and compliance checks from internal or external stakeholders.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented leader with a deep understanding of warranty operations within the commercial vehicle or broader automotive sector. You will bring both strategic oversight and a hands-on approach, with a commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in Warranty Management or a senior Aftersales Warranty role, ideally within the Commercial Vehicle or Automotive sector.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage a small team and develop others.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present meaningful insights.
- Deep understanding of OEM warranty systems and compliance standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first approach.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A flexible, solution-oriented mindset and a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warranty-related systems (OEM portals, DMS, etc.)
