About the Role:
MedGen Healthcare Ireland is currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants for a number of positions across County Galway and nearby counties. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a trusted healthcare provider offering flexible shifts, competitive pay, and full support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with residents’ needs
- Assist residents with daily personal care while maintaining dignity and respect
- Support residents with mobility, nutrition, and personal hygiene
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and companionship
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in care settings
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
- Perform additional tasks as directed by nursing staff or management
Requirements:
- QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare (or equivalent) – completed in full or currently studying.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or nursing home environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Valid eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
- Full clean driving Licence.
