As a Healthcare Support Service Lead you will ensure excellence in GSK and healthcare organisation (HCO) partnerships which exist to improve patient care via healthcare support services or patient support programmes. You will ensure appropriate 3rd party assessment, engagement and oversight for Medical Department 3rd party vendors across all activity areas. You will also support capabilities in the Medical Department on healthcare organisation and healthcare professional engagements with regard to partnership to impact on patient outcomes.
You will hold overall responsibility for planning and management of Healthcare Support Services/Patient Support Programmes and other 3rd party vendor oversight within the Medical Department.
As a Healthcare Support Services Lead you will ensure that that services are aligned to IPHA and GSK Codes of Practice, SI No 541 of 2007 Control of Advertising of Medicinal Products and other relevant internal and external governance standards.
You will support the Country Medical Director and Training & Quality Assurance Business Partner with project work relating to onboarding, training and capabilities within the Medical team to meet LoC and Northwest Europe medical dashboard requirements and other ad-hoc capability programmes.
This is office-based role with 2-3 days per week on site.

In this role you will
- Identify appropriate healthcare support services/patient support programmes from external and internal insights and builds case for service approval internally in consultation with cross functional team members.
- Identify, engage, contract and manage 3rd parties, as needed, for other areas of activity in the Medical Department (eg: Out Of Hours Service Provider, Training providers, agencies) and engage GSK Procurement and Legal to support contracting of 3rd party/parties for service provision.
- Ensure that governance and oversight requirements for interacting with patients to deliver Healthcare Support Services/Patient Support Programmes are met including identifying, understanding and sharing appropriate information with cross functional team members.
- Build strong relationships across the LoC and work with others to deliver appropriate patient care within Healthcare Support Services/Patient Support Programmes.
- Undertake relevant training forums with cross functional teams and with 3rd party personnel to ensure all parties are up-to-date with service/programme requirements such as KAM/sales representative role in introducing the service, SPC and other updates for 3rd party HCPs and other training requirements as identified.
- Ensure that all SOPs are in place, updated & training is conducted across the LoC. Ensure a monitoring system in place for tracking training compliance and process for escalation
- Manage risk and issues management processes including management monitoring, corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs), auditing, complaints and incident management processes.
- Produce materials to support 3rd party patient engagement vis-à-vis clinical protocols, patient materials, materials for GSK personnel which may be shared with HCPs to indicate availability of the service and other materials as required.

- Degree level qualification in a relevant scientific discipline with the ability to quickly understand scientifically complex topics
- Proven experience working in role requiring compliance with defined Regulatory frameworks
- Excellent level of project management skills and high focus on attention to detail
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Experience setting and being accountable for delivery of KPIs (results orientated) with analytical ability to use data and / or insights to inform decisions
- Commercial awareness
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:
- Healthcare professional with current or prior registration in Ireland
- Postgraduate qualification in Life Sciences (MSc, PhD)
- Preferred previous experience in a specialised therapy area such as Oncology/Haematology/Infectious Diseases/Respiratory
- Adaptability and agility in your working style and planning
