HGV Rigid Truck Driver for rear end loader truck (REL) on route collection work of waste and mixed dry recyclables from commercial customers in the Galway City & County Areas.
Reports to - The HGV Rigid Truck Driver will report to the Solid Waste Operations Manager.
About The Role
What the job involves:
- Be able to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
- To resolve issues/queries effectively and to escalate to relevant departments where necessary.
- To establish good working relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Good time management and ability to work both on our own and as part of a team.
- Collect and return customers' bins (along designated routes).
- Ensuring all collections are made in a professional and timely fashion.
- Conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle before departing.
- Comply with Health and Safety policies.
- Comply with road traffic legislation and RSA guidelines.
- Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Monday to Friday, Saturday work is required on rotation.
Licence/Certification:
- C Driving licence (required)
- C1 Driving licence (preferred)
- CPC (required)
- Safe Pass (preferred)
- Must have good level of written and spoken English.
Ability to commute/relocate: Oranmore, County Galway: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred).
