Hotel Receptionist – The Lady Gregory Hotel, Gort
Set in the heart of Gort, Co. Galway, The Lady Gregory Hotel is a welcoming and well-established 3-star hotel, known for our warm hospitality, leisure centre, beauty rooms, dining experience and as a leading wedding venue .
We’re currently inviting applications for the position of Hotel Receptionist to join our friendly and professional front desk team with Full & Part-Time positions available
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our guests, the Receptionist plays a key role in delivering a warm welcome and seamless guest experience. This is a great opportunity to become part of a supportive team in a busy hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a smile and offer a warm, efficient check-in/out experience using HotSoft PMS
- Provide information on the hotel’s amenities, local attractions, and services
- Answer calls and emails in a professional, friendly manner; take messages and transfer calls appropriately
- Handle guest queries, reservations calls, general requests, and concerns promptly and professionally
- Promote hotel services and upsell where appropriate (e.g. dining, leisure, gift vouchers)
- Maintain accurate billing and ensure all transactions are completed in line with procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth guest journey
- Uphold hotel policies around customer care, health and safety, and security
- Support colleagues and management as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a hotel is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, organised, and calm under pressure
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment
- A good working knowledge of HotSoft is a plus, if not, full training will be provided
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
- Willingness to learn about the local area to assist guests with recommendations

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to €35,000.00 per year
