Housekeeper
The Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy Western Branch is seeking applications for the position of Housekeeper to join our Assisted Living team in Roscommon.

Main Duties:
- Clean, sanitise and (periodically) deep-clean the kitchen and dining room
- Vacuum and wash the floors
- Wash cooking equipment and utensils
- Clean and periodically deep clean Bain Marie, fridge, serving trolleys and kitchen sink
- Empty and sanitise the bins
- Dust furniture
- Set/clear the dining table
- Have the Sisters’ health, safety, and well-being in mind while carrying out all tasks
- Adhere to the in-house policies and procedures
- Perform all duties in a professional and friendly manner
- Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness while being mindful of the fact that this is the Sisters’ home
- Be courteous to all community members in whose home you are employed, offering support and assistance as required
- Work as a part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting and respecting all the other team members while promoting a positive work environment
- Undertake other assigned tasks as the situation demands on occasion
Requirements:
- Being of a compassionate and caring nature
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a team player
- Flexibility to cover for annual leave
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €13.75 per hour
