Milestone Technologies is seeking a bright, driven, and detail-oriented IT Logistics and Walk-Up Technician to join our dynamic logistics and support team. This hybrid role involves both technical end-user support and hands-on logistics responsibilities, including the deployment, inventory management, and lifecycle maintenance of IT hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:
End-User Support & Deployment
- Deliver concierge-level support to internal users via walk-up, chat, phone, and ticketing systems.
- Image and deploy laptops, desktops, peripherals, and accessories for new hires and replacements.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues across Windows, macOS, VPN, Wi-Fi, and collaboration tools.
- Provide face-to-face support (Monday-Friday 100% onsite) for issues related to the Office Suite, Zoom, Jabber, RSA, Okta, and other business applications.
- Educate users on best practices and functionality to improve workflow efficiency.
- Support desk-side setups and deployment services, ensuring a smooth onboarding and device refresh experience.
- Maintain excellent ticket hygiene using systems like ServiceNow and JAMF.
Logistics & Inventory Operations
- Manage incoming/outgoing IT hardware shipments, including packaging, labeling, and delivery to appropriate stockrooms or help desks.
- Track and validate hardware assets, escalate discrepancies, and perform weekly inventory audits.
- Maintain inventory levels and assist in restocking IT vending machines and storerooms.
- Support e-waste coordination and legal hold asset collection/processing.
- Perform hardware recovery for employee offboarding and equipment refresh cycles.
- Record and update inventory data in asset management systems such as JAMF, BigFix, or other MDM tools.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or technical degree preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, deployment, or helpdesk roles.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Solid knowledge of Windows 7/10 and Mac OS X (Yosemite/El Capitan) environments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, VPN, RSA tokens, Citrix, and remote collaboration tools.
- Prior experience with inventory and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Strong troubleshooting, task management, and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and follow-through.
- Ability to lift/move 25-50 lbs. and work full-time onsite under safety protocols.
- Experience using tools such as JAMF, BigFix, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Box truck or equipment transport experience is a plus.
