We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Caretaker Cleaner to help maintain the cleanliness, order, and safety of our private shopping centre premises, including the car park and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping public spaces clean and presentable, with a proactive approach to minor security and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empty and replace bins throughout the shopping centre.
- Carry out regular litter picking around the premises and car park.
- Patrol the area to ensure that customers and tenants are not disturbed.
- Politely request any loiterers to leave the premises; if they refuse, report the incident to An Garda Síochána.
- Push out large bins for scheduled collection by Panda.
- Collect cardboard and load it into the compactor machine.
- Load plastic waste into the designated recycling machine and empty it when full.
- Empty all small bins located throughout the shopping centre.
- Inventory parked cars at 10:00 and 12:00 daily.
- Notify the clamping company of any unauthorised or incorrectly parked vehicles.
- Ensure cars are parked properly within marked spaces.
- Maintain cleanliness along the outer wall of the shopping centre.
- Report maintenance issues or unusual incidents to management as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in cleaning, caretaking, or facilities support is preferred.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a respectful, calm approach when interacting with the public.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
