The role is a customer-facing Jewellery sales & Pawnbroking position. It requires the candidate to develop a keen knowledge of diamonds, precious metals and Luxury Watches. Maintaining customer relations and client outreach is very important.
Previous experiance in the jewellery industry is essential
Day to day tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Greeting customers & building relationships with them.
- Assessing the value of jewellery and luxury watches
- Operating till system and handling cash
- Visual Merchandising - maintaining our display standards and window display.
- Maintain a clean and tidy store – light cleaning required.
- General upkeep of stock and responsible for the security of stock.
- Ad-hoc administrative duties and running errands when required.
- General assistance to sales team & reporting to the store manager.
- Using equipment to clean, polish and prepare jewellery for sale
Our trading hours are Monday - Friday 9 am - 5.30 pm Overtime may be available during the Christmas season (but is not compulsory)
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in Retail Sales and Customer Service, specifically in jewellery
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Works well as part as a team
- Confidence to negotiate and close sales and loans
- Have excellent computer skills and be confident with taking on any computer tasks that are given.
- A passion for providing great customer service
Jewellery retail experience, silversmith or goldsmith training and/or gemstone knowledge are a distinct advantage.
