Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Training and Recruiting Specialist to support our growing HR team in the retail sector. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about people development and recruitment, with a strong grasp of administrative tools—especially Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Coordination:
- Help organize and schedule employee training sessions, both in-person and virtual.
- Deliver some training sessions – inductions, company culture etc.
- Track training attendance, feedback, and completion rates using Excel.
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Support the development and distribution of training materials.
- Assist in the Performance Management model including succession planning tools for Store Management and Dept Heads.
- Assist in the drafting and implementation of KPIs per Department.
Recruitment Support:
- Assist with posting job ads on various platforms.
- Screen CVs and coordinate candidate interviews.
- Maintain and update applicant tracking spreadsheets and reports.
- Communicate with candidates and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Assist with onboarding documentation and new hire checklists.
- Carrying out phone screening, reference checks and some interviews.
Administrative & Reporting:
- Create and manage reports related to recruitment metrics and training effectiveness.
- Use Excel for data analysis, pivot tables, and performance dashboards.
- Maintain HR files in an organised manner.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR Team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- 1–2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Friendly, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
