Your role
In the Laboratory Technician role your objective is to inspect, sample, test to the required standard (where appropriate) and to deliver raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, finished products and stability samples to the Laboratories.
- Compliance with relevant Good Laboratory Practices with respect to hygiene, safety and work organisation.
- Adherence to all relevant SOPs, WIs, test methods and APs, Worksheet and Enclosures, as directed by the Associate Manger / designee.
- Sampling and control of quality control samples.
- Accurate recording of results on worksheets and/or workbooks (logbooks).
- Filing of Laboratory data.
- Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Participation in internal and external audits.
- Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products & stability samples.
- Carry out process validation work
- Provide analytical cover for effluent analysis with advance agreement
- Sampling & chemical testing of water from the manufacturing plants and the laboratory.
This role is based at our Dublin site and is a 12 mth Fixed Term Contract
Your qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:
- Minimum Certificate level in a Science subject - NSQF Level 7, or higher, in a Science subject (Ideally Chemistry)
- Previous Laboratory experience in a NPI laboratory function including experience of Method transfer is preferred.
- HPLC/UPLC experience is preferred.
- Analytical/chemistry laboratory experience in a laboratory function and relevant industrial experience is required.
- Must be able to work diligently inspecting, sampling and testing to the required standard (where appropriate) and delivering raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, finished products and stability testing to the relevant Laboratories.
- Must have a right first-time approach and a safety conscious approach to work within the laboratories.
- Must be committed to engaging in Continuous Improvement activities, including those which enhance performance and schedule adherence in the Lab.
