Job Description
Please note, this is a 3 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 12pm - 8pm.
As a Laboratory Technician you purpose will process customer samples while maintaining consistent customer service, efficiency, quality and accuracy standards as required by the company.
- Responsible for accurately logging samples into the LIMS system in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the taking in of customer samples, sorting and labelling them while ensuring that the correct information is recorded onto the LIMS system for samples that are to be analysed.
- Responsible for sub-contracting samples as required, sorting, labelling, tracking of samples and results.
- Responsible for supporting the sales and customer services team in administration and planning.
- Responsible for handling any customer related queries where necessary and liaising with their team to problem solve these queries if needed.
- Responsible for communicating regularly with the Laboratory Manager /Laboratory Supervisor/Team Leads/AST’s of the status of work and for escalating any issues in a timely manner.
- Complete all documentation including training sheets on time, accurately and legibly.
- Undertaking general administration duties including photocopying, typing, filing etc. as required.
- Keep the working area clean and tidy.
- Assist with sample disposal and general laboratory cleaning and maintenance

- Educated to GCSE or equivalent level
