JOB PURPOSE
To ensure that all guestrooms, public areas, and bars are serviced to the agreed presentation and high standards of the Hotel, throughout the day and evening. To achieve a steady and accurate flow of linen to and from the accommodation department. To live to and embody the values, mission, vision, and purpose of the Midlands Park Hotel and achieve the Midlands Park Hotel core competencies.
MAIN DUTIES
- To maintain a high standard of service at all times.
- To acknowledge and greet guests in a friendly manner.
- To ensure that the correct standards of uniform, hygiene, appearance and behaviour are adhered to.
- Checking of linen delivery docket.
- Collecting soiled linen from all floors.
- Stocking pantries with clean linen.
- Stock control of linen count must be counted and recorded Monday, Wednesday, Friday and end of day - Sunday.
- To ensure the pantries are clean and tidy at all times.
- To ensure linen is clean.
- To ensure that all service trays are taken back to the kitchen and glasses to the bars.
- To collect store order and store away correctly.
- To ensure linen room and laundry room are clean and tidy at all times and kept locked.
- To ensure that the service areas are vacuumed every evening.
- To take care of Hotel property when using linen trolleys – walls and doors not to be damaged.
- To report all accidents, incidents, hazards to a manger or supervisor immediately.
- To take reasonable care to ensure health and safety of yourself and others.
- To report any physical condition that is deemed unsafe or potentially unsafe.
- To establish and maintain a good working relationship with all other employees of the department and other departments within the hotel.
- To recognise and comply with company policy with regarding to health, safety, and fire procedures.
- To assist with any other reasonable duties as requested.
