Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter looking for an exciting career move with a proven track record of mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment and a strong commitment to environmental responsibility and adherence to safety protocols?
The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe, smooth, and proper running of machinery, plant, and equipment, diagnose and resolve mechanical issues while ensuring a culture of Safety First in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Problem solving mechanical issues on the Manufacturing plant.
- Perform daily reactive and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Follow, manage, and enhance the existing maintenance program.
- Working closely as part of an integrated production team.
- Preparation for and participation in the weekly preventive maintenance meetings.
- Working closely with the Maintenance Manager on Maintenance downtime, root cause analysis and problem solving on plant.
- Ensure as part of the Maintenance team that all controls and agreed preventive maintenance systems are maintained on the plant.
- Involved in the review of weekly preventive maintenance plans to ensure compliance to company plan.
- Ensure the safe, smooth, and proper running of machinery, plant, and equipment.
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 3 Years experience operating in a manufacturing environment.
- Qualified Trades Fitter / mechanic qualifications required.
- Excellent PC Skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Should have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates a logical approach to problem solving.
- Has a ‘can do’ attitude.
