Role: Marketing Manager, Herbst Software

Marketing Manager required for a successful Irish owned international business that provides Business Management solutions in a variety of B2B market sectors.
We are seeking an innovative marketing manager to promote our company's brand, products and services; and support our Sales Team in achieving their sales targets. Reporting to the COO, this is a dynamic and challenging role that involves creating business development and marketing strategies in line with our ambitious growth objectives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in bringing products to market and experience with product marketing, events, PR, supporting sales and will have the ability to produce the right message for the right customer in the right market.
The role requires a marketing professional with a full mix of expertise and ability to influence at a senior level.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Devising and developing marketing strategies and plans, including pricing strategies, in line with the overall Business strategy.
- Developing clear customer value proposition and messaging for each offering
- Generating new business leads.
- Creatively promoting the brand to increase brand awareness and market share, including promotion at trade shows and major industry-related events.
- Content production on a range of thought leadership articles, video scripts, podcasts, sales materials and brochures etc..
- Coordinating marketing strategies with the sales, financial and R&D departments.
- Developing, managing and executing communications, campaigns and initiatives including branding, advertising, and promotional activities as well as shows, exhibitions and customer events.
- Preparing and presenting reports to senior management, including measurement, analysis & assessments of activities.
- Maintaining knowledge & understanding of market trends, including sector insights, customer knowledge and insights, and competitor analysis.
- Preparing media collateral such as press releases and statements and liaising with the Press
- Effective collaboration with the wider team on digital marketing, enhancement of the website and all online marketing activities.
- Developing and managing the marketing department's budget.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Third level degree or professional training in marketing, communications and events.
- A confident and articulate speaker who communicates with clarity, insight, and engaging precision.
- At least five years' experience in a Marketing function and two years as a Marketing manager.
- Senior marketing management experience, ideally in a software product/professional services firm or B2B organisation, ideally with an understanding of Business Management Solutions.
- Proven success in developing high quality, innovative, strategic marketing plans.
- Marketing project delivery skills, including events, advertising, sponsorship, thought leadership via published articles, PR, and communications.
- Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding.
- Ability to generate creative ideas/concepts to enhance the company brand.
- Ability to influence, inform and challenge senior stakeholders and market influencers.
- Superb leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Strategic and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Flexible in approach.
- Strong English (both written and verbal).
