Arklow Medical Practice is seeking a Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our dynamic GP Practice in Arklow, Co Wicklow. on part-time permanent contract.
You will be working with friendly, enthusiastic and supportive staff focused on providing high quality medical care to patients.
Suitable candidate duties will include but are not limited to:
- Meeting and greeting patients
- Dealing with phone calls, emails and front desk interactions
- Scheduling appointments and taking payments
- Scanning and management of documentation to patient files
- Providing administrative support to GPs and nurses
Essential Requirements
- Working knowledge of Windows-based software systems (e.g. Word and Excel)
- Must be a team player who is flexible and supportive
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confident with answering phone queries and dealing with issues efficiently as they arise
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent communication and IT skills required
- Experience of using Socrates is preferred
- Experience in a GP Practice, healthcare role or associated sector is preferable
- Must be flexible to cover annual leave and extra days where required
- Focused on managing sensitive and confidential information.
· Exemplary accuracy and attention to detail in data entry.
· Bookkeeping and payroll proficiency an advantage
Working hours: 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with flexible time. Additional hours are available for candidates who possess bookkeeping and payroll skills.
