We are seeking a skilled Metal & Wood Work Operative to join our team. As a Metal & Wood Work Operative, you will be responsible for the precise preparation, fabrication, and assembly of metal and wood components to create high-quality finished products. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal and wood materials for fabrication, ensuring accurate measurements and specifications.
- Utilize cutting tools, saws, and welding equipment to shape and join metal components with precision.
- Assemble metal and wood parts according to established designs and project requirements.
- Apply finishes, such as paint or varnish, to enhance the appearance and durability of the final product.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure finished products meet established standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion and timely delivery.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using metal and woodwork tools and equipment.
- Attention to detail and precision in measurements and fabrication.
- Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in various fabrication techniques.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Creativity and an eye for design in certain projects.
