Mig Welders/Fabricators:
In this role you will be required to weld a variety of material types and thickness from production drawings to produce products to the highest standard.
Applicants for these vacancies should have the ability to-
· Must be able to weld a variety of material types and thickness from 3mm up to 80mm.
· Working from production drawings to deliver high quality welding and fabrication to manufacture and produce products to high standard.
· Responsible for the quality of the products before releasing to next step in the production process by visual inspection of welds to determine compliance with standards.
· Report any deviations from the required standard immediately to area supervisor so problems are quickly identified and addressed.
· Responsible for working to tight deadlines and have the ability to work under pressure.
· Communicating actions to area Team Leader.
· Perform regular inspections and monitor work to meet process requirements.
· This job requires a level of physical activity in these production processes, these activities include but are not limited to:
o The loading and unloading of steel components into Welding Cells/work stations using various mechanisms such as hoists, pallet trucks and magnets provided.
o To rotate steel parts in Indexer where appropriate for finishing welds using hoist and magnet provided.
o The movement in and out of pallets in Welding Area using relevant equipment e.g. manual operated pallet trolley.
o Loading and unloading welding jigs using hoist and magnet were appropriate.
o Required to change out consumable parts relating to Welding tasks.
o Keep work area neat and tidy in compliance with company housekeeping standards.
· Ability to read and interpret drawings.
· Good knowledge of dimensional measuring instrumentations.
· Adhering to all relevant Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
· Continuous improvement projects are ongoing in this area and the Operator is expected to contribute and participate in these projects.·
The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, welding drawings, operating instructions and procedures
· Adhere to the required company and customer weld standards
· Inspection of welds to determine compliance with standards.
· Have good attention to detail taking pride in their work
· Maintain relevant plant and equipment to the highest standard
· Be punctual with an excellent attendance record
· Plan and organise their work in order to meet daily schedules and output targets
· An awareness of Quality, Environmental and Safety standards in the workplace
· Ability to work well in a team and on their own initiative.
· Reporting defects immediately so problems are quickly addressed.
· Complete all work in a safe and efficient manner.
Interested applicants should have:
· Minimum 2 -3 years production welding experience and preferably weld certified.
· You must have strong attention to detail and be reliable.
· A good understanding of spoken and written English.
· Familiar with ISO Quality, Safety & Environmental standards.
