We are looking for a Mobile Tech Lead to join our EMEA team as we continue to grow and advance our mobile development expertise.
In this position, you will collaborate with delivery teams and oversee client interactions while driving the design and execution of mobile applications for international clients.
This hybrid role is best suited for candidates based near one of our offices in Newcastle, Manchester, London, Dublin, or Belfast.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive mobile architecture solutions, spanning frontend, backend, middleware, and web services, drawing on extensive knowledge of Android, iOS, and other mobile development platforms
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of mobile solutions, including creating reference architectures, generating cost estimates, and offering technical guidance and leadership throughout projects
- Analyze client requirements and work with business and technology teams to translate their digital needs into robust mobile and digital technology solutions
- Participate in client workshops, present proposed solutions, and act as the primary technical point of contact between clients, engineering teams, and support functions
- Establish and promote best practices, standardized workflows, platform guidelines, and tools to ensure scalable, efficient, and high-quality mobile and digital solutions
- Evaluate existing system architectures, address performance challenges, and provide recommendations to improve design and optimize performance
- Encourage innovation in mobile and digital technologies by producing thought leadership materials, attending industry events, mentoring team members, and enhancing solution architecture expertise across the team
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in digital technologies, particularly in mobile development using iOS (Objective-C/Swift), Android (Java/Kotlin), React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin
- At least 2 years of experience as a Solution Architect with a proven record of delivering and reviewing at least five architecture designs and participating in five or more pre-sales activities in the last two years
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, with experience in project planning, execution, resource allocation, and risk management
- Proven expertise in mobile solution delivery and strategy, with significant experience in domains like eCommerce, Content Management, Media and Entertainment, Finance, or Cloud technologies
- In-depth understanding of design patterns, performance tuning, code refactoring, and resolving bottlenecks
- Experience in consulting or professional services, with a strong background in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design and demonstrated problem-solving abilities
