Galway Music Academy is seeking experienced instrumental (ideally multi-instrumental) teachers for in person tuition in our schools in Galway City (Renmore and Knocknacarra) and County (Oranmore, Claregalway and Tuam) locations from September 2025.
Job Overview
As a Music Teacher at Galway Music Academy, you will deliver high-quality music education to students of varying ages and skill levels. You'll foster a supportive, engaging learning environment and work collaboratively with the private tuition team to ensure student progression, personal growth, and a positive school culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured, engaging individual and/or group music lessons.
- Create tailored lesson plans based on students’ goals and learning pace.
- Manage lesson inquiries, scheduling, and student records in a timely manner.
- Support school events (e.g., recitals, concerts) by preparing students and assisting with organization.
- Collaborate with staff and management to align with school-wide goals.
- Contribute content and ideas for social media showcasing student achievements.
- Maintain an organized and professional teaching space, ensuring instruments and materials are ready and in good condition.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and student-centered environment.
Work Hours & Schedule
- Flexible hours based on student and class scheduling.
- Availability during peak lesson times (afternoons, evenings, some weekends).

Our ideal candidate/s will have:
- 3rd level music qualifications
- Be professional with excellent organisational and communication skills, passion for music education and a commitment to student development
- Multi-instrumental and Group teaching experience a bonus
- Must have at least 1 year teaching experience
- Garda vetting will be necessary
- Full driving licence and reliable transport to school locations
