- Teach Physics to MYP and DP students, ensuring high expectations and ambitious outcomes for all learners.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with IB requirements, making effective use of assessment to inform teaching and track progress.
- Differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs, including EAL and AEN learners.
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Foster a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and curiosity.
- Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum, resources, and enrichment opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression across the school.
- Actively participate in school events, trips, and co-curricular activities.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing at all times.
- A fully qualified teacher with a degree in Physics (or related field) and a recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Physics at IB MYP and DP level, ideally in an international school setting.
- A passion for science education and the ability to inspire and motivate young people.
- Strong understanding of the IB philosophy, assessment principles, and inquiry-based learning.
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Skilled at integrating educational technology into lessons to enhance learning.
- A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional growth.
- Flexible, adaptable, and resilient, with a positive approach to challenges.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
